DISCOVERING A UNIQUE SHOWCASE

OF LAVENDER CULTURE

For 30 years, the Distillerie Bleu Provence has been restoring the glory of this emblematic plant of the region. In Nyons, a visit is a must.

La culture de la Lavande

Let yourself be told the great adventure of the lavender distillery.

The story begins much like a novel set in Provence. A passionate couple, Christine and Philippe Soguel, had a dream. What if they took over a family distillery that had been established for decades on the banks of the Eygues in Nyons? It was 1994. Since then, they have made significant progress! Over 30 years, they have continuously developed the business, forging partnerships with prestigious brands like Christian Dior Perfumes, L'Occitane en Provence, Weleda, and Pranarom. Technical innovations have emphasized energy savings and biodiversity protection, without forgetting fair trade, ensuring fair compensation for plant producers.

Lavender, lavandins, and aromatic plants produce essential oils of recognized quality, mainly from organic farming. Among their many activities to share their love for the Provençal emblem are self-guided tours, guided conferences, and soap-making workshops. The program includes the history of this distillery built in 1939, harvest seasons, distillation processes, and olfactory discoveries of essential oils. Let yourself be told the great adventure of this incredible company!

Surrounded by a variety of scents, visitors experience a unique immersion in a historical site with passionate and inexhaustible hosts. The experience can extend into the boutique. You'll find numerous products, perfumes, and cosmetics, but also seasonal ice creams to enjoy on a shaded terrace. Organic essential oils of lavender AOP, lavandins, thymes, sages, mint, and vervain... with expert advice on how to use them!
